At Open Range we pride ourselves on a few key things.
#1 Health: We search high and low and put in months and months of effort making sure we get the exact right dogs for our breeding program. It is not a side note that our parent dogs are from healthy lines and undergo 200+ genetic tests AND OFA or Evet as well. Health is everything to us because that way we KNOW our clients have a “Happy, Healthy Pup,” for the lifetime of the dog.
#2. Home raised: Our family raises these dogs in the home, no matter how many puppies we currently have you can count on them being handled and loved in our own home. This is a huge deal for dogs as they all desire to be a part of a family. Ours are, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
#3. Communication: My priority is to answer all emails, texts and calls with expediency. I want you to know that I am always here promptly and couldn’t be happier to answer your questions as fast as I can. I will always be back to you same day, most often same hour. My clients are the driving force of Open Range and I strive to treat them as such.

We DNA test each parent for up to 200+ genetic mutations. We don’t just look at breed specific testing as it leaves the possibility for a dog to have a rare condition that the breeder is not testing for. Then we pay close attention to the genetic background in each pups gene pool. We test for common serious illnesses for each breed as well. This is the first step in our diligent process to ensure puppy health.
We test puppy parents for Hip and Elbow problems that would lead to early disabilities. This is known as OFA testing (Orthopedic Foundation For Animals). We also use a program called E-Vet. This company does the same thing OFA does. So some of our dogs have both!
Each puppy is given age appropriate vaccinations, wormers, IDEX panels and veterinary checkups while in our care.
Our puppies are family raised in a nurturing, friendly, and service-oriented environment. Our dogs are family while they are at the house. We treat each pup as if it would live with us forever. That means grooming, training, feeding the best and playing with kids all day!
Open Range has done the research and we recommend that every pet parent use Healthy Paws Pet Insurance.
