What is Puppy Culture and Why does it make us different?
Puppy Culture is a system of puppy rearing that we absolutely love! This system helps us to create the very best Service and Therapy dogs available. It also helps us to rear puppies that are conditioned to be curious, intelligent and intuitive to our clients. Puppy Culture includes:
1.) ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation)
2.)Creating treat motivated puppies for ease of training
3.)Letting puppies explore their surroundings and enriching their everyday life to give them a fear response that is bomb proof!
4.) Socializing Puppies in the proper period so they do not fear people
We expose our puppies to noises and feelings that are not always comfortable and they learn from this to respond better to fear. For example, from the time they can hear we are vacuuming near them, dropping things to make a loud noise by them or opening an umbrella by them. We do all of this in a controlled environment so they know they are safe. It allows them to create a more curious response rather then running away.
Early Neurological Stimulation:
The benefits are endless!
At Open Range we are an AVID follower of Puppy Culture and all the protocols that Jane lays out in the film. The foundation that we lay is a PRICELESS beginning for your puppy. They are loved and pushed and molded into a beautiful member for your family. This is a large part of who we are as a breeder. We LOVE our puppy families to join in on the fun and watch the film!
