PEDIGREE & HEALTH TESTING:

Parent Pedigree’s and Health Tests are available upon request. Please contact Dawn for information on the parent pedigree’s.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN F1 and F1b?

F1 Sheepadoodle’s are a 50% Old English Sheepdog and 50% Poodle. They are referred to as first generation.

An F1B is a F1 bred back to a poodle. So it is 75% Poodle and 25% Old English Sheepdog. These are referred to as second generation.

DOES OPEN RANGE BREED STANDARD OR MICRO SHEEPADOODLES?

No, at this time we only breed F1 and F1b Mini’s.

DEPOSIT’S??:

The deposit is $500 and is non refundable. Please be sure you are ready for a puppy as this is a really big decision!!! Deposits are non-refundable but are transferable to another litter later on.

Once the puppies are born we begin to go down through our wait list and see if people are ready to move over to the actual litter list. If you are in fact ready, you can go on the website and  fill out the litter contract and health guarantee for that specific litter. The full deposit is $500 towards your puppy. The extra on each charge online for $25 covers the credit card processing fee.

SHIPPING:

Buyer is responsible for shipping in all cases. Open Range will make all arrangements and will of course make sure all requirements on our end are taken care of. The shipping fee for flights is $390, all flights for any where in the country. If the dog is over 10 lbs shipping goes up to $490

BREEDING AND YOUR DOG:

Our contracts are explicit that our dogs can not be bred. All dogs are to be fixed between 6 and 8 months old. CKC papers will not be sent until we have proof that you have fixed your new dog from us.

HEALTH GUARANTEE:

4 YEARS

All of our dogs come with up to date shots and vet checks. We guarantee health in our dogs for 4 years from the date of birth with the exception of causes outside our control. A 4 year genetic health guarantee is very uncommon but we have put so much effort into our line we are confident of our puppy quality. This is a genetic health guarantee, it protects you from any genetic defects in your dog. The care of your dog is in your hands and needs to be groomed at least four times a year with a vet check as often.

DOG FOOD:

At Open Range we use “Paw Tree”. This company is outstanding and we are so excited to have this option. With Sheepadoodle’s our clients tend to deal with a sensitive belly. Paw Tree gives us the freedom to make a food specifically based on YOUR dog and YOUR situation. If you don’t want grain, you can remove it! If you want Salmon Oil, you can add it! If you feel like chicken is a junk filler and you don’t want it, take it out!! I love the freedom of this food and I love being able to offer it to my clients! I know it is the best and we all want that for our fur babies!

Paw Tree is delivered right to your door and you can set it up on a recurring order so you don’t even have to worry about picking up food at the pet store anymore!

Check it out at www.pawtree.com/openrangepups

Brushes and Shampoo:

We recommend using a rake brush that gets all the way to the under coat to prevent matting. And a regular bristle brush to make sure the top of coat stays knot free.

At Open Range we use Oatmeal Shampoo. It doesn’t matter what brand but they tend to have less chemicals in them.

WHAT COMES WITH MY PUPPY:

If we are shipping your puppy they come in a dog crate that will be useful for a few months after they are shipped. There is NO extra charge for this crate. We will make sure your puppy comes up to date on shots and wormed, this is included in your puppy price. We also send a bit of the “Best Breed” Puppy chow, this is to help them during the transition. We recommend sticking with “Best Breed” as it is a great choice for your dog. We also send a leash and collar that can not be on the dog when shipped but is useful for when you open the kennel at the airport.

PAPERS:

If you have decided you want the papers for your puppy we require that you provide proof that the puppy has been spayed or neutered at 6 to 8 months old. PAPERS WILL NOT BE SENT WITH OUT PROOF! Please make sure if you are asking for papers that you have provided a valid mailing address for us.

WHEN DO WE PICK PUPPIES:

When you have gone to the litter list we ask that you Follow us on FaceBook @Openrangepups. There we put pictures up weekly and any details that are needed. We will make each pup its own profile with Pictures, Videos and Personality traits. Then at 4 weeks we pick puppies!

CAN I PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD?:

Yes! We have to add 3% for Processing Fees, but that option is available. Please contact Dawn and she will get you a personal button to pay the balance of your puppy. 970-433-5737 or Scottkids6@hotmail.com

IF 2 PUPPIES ARE FLYING TO THE SAME AIRPORT CAN THEY TRAVEL IN THE SAME CRATE?:

Absolutely! We try to always make this option happen. It is easier on the pup for them to travel with a brother or sister. Again, contact Dawn for information on how to make this happen.

CAN I PICK MY PUPPY UP?

Shipping the puppies is done in 1 of 4 ways

#1. Puppies are shipped in a kennel to their new home via Airplane ( $390 @ 8 weeks)

WHAT HEALTH PAPER WORK COMES WITH MY PUPPY?:

Your puppy will arrive with a shot record and worming record. This should be given to your vet at the 12 week appointment.

DO OPEN RANGE PUPS HAVE ANY HEALTH TESTING BEFORE THEY GO HOME?

Each of our puppies gets a fecal diagnostic profile through IDEXX that screens for all parasites, giardia and coccidia. It is common for puppies to pick up parasites from anywhere because their immune systems are not fully developed. At Open Range we pride ourselves on keeping the puppies and their space impeccably clean but this is just a precaution we feel to take. This way if an issue does develop we catch it early and take care of it before the puppy even goes home. It is part of our dedication to sending home happy, healthy pups.

HOW BIG WILL MY PUPPY BE AT 8 WEEKS OLD?:

F1 Mini Sheepadoodle 7-10lbs

F1b Mini Sheepadoodle 5-10 lbs

F1 Mini Aussiedoodle 5-8 lbs

How much does my puppy eat when it comes home?

We recommend putting down a 1/2 cup of food 2-3 times a day for your puppy. They may not eat it all at first but soon you will have to put down more!

The Puppy seems overwhelmed the first few days at home. What do I do?

It is a big transition to fly or drive home and meet your new family! The pups need a few days to adjust to their new atmosphere. It is good to let them sleep and rest and be held so they know they are home. It is also a good time to keep up with the kennel training as it will help them transition to your home.
